Barefoot at Broken Head, Byron Bay

Broken Head is at the end of the stretch of beach to the immediate south of the Byron Bay Lighthouse.

Mostly untouched rainforest, it is a magical spot positioned only a few minutes from the heart of Byron Bay. The protected southern point is perfect for beginners, and local surf schools often choose to give their students their first wave in the family friendly shallows of the beach.

Two of the most deserted and beautiful beaches in the shire, Brays and Kings, are found by driving two minutes up Seven Mile Beach road and walking down tracks through the rainforest. These are perfect settings for creating those perfect family memories.

Three airlines fly into Ballina Airport just 20 minutes from the house, and the larger Gold Coast airport is 60 minutes north.

"It truly is paradise and I doubt very much that you would be able to find anything on par with it either here or overseas without spending up very, very big."
